William “Bill” Diehl
William “Bill” Diehl, age 93, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2021.
Bill was born on February 27, 1928, in Cincinnati, Ohio to William and Rosina Diehl (nee Fessler). William married Patricia Klein of Cincinnati, Ohio on September 24, 1955.
Bill is survived by his loving wife Patricia Diehl, Children; David (Lee Ann) Diehl and Carol (Rick) Yarborough. Grandchildren; Jeanne (Devon) Stribling, Jennifer (Randell) Caldwell, Jenae (Stephen) McKnight, CJ Yarborough. Great grandchildren; Deci, Elora, Leo, Ty, Alanna Stribling, Jesse Carver and Cloe Caldwell.
He was preceded in death by his parents William and Rosina Diehl.
Bill loved his family. He was an avid gardener, loved bird watching, hiking and the great outdoors – attested by his many years of service to Cincinnati Parks. His many talents included carpentry, sign painting and the challenge of fixing most anything. He served the church in many functions and was always ready to help others. He was a connoisseur of Pat’s cookies, Wheat Chex, Cherry Lifesavers and Hersey Kisses.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 5, 2021, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at The Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. (Follow the blue line to the funeral home)
Services will begin at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens.

I was truly saddened to hear of Bill’s passing. He was a wonderful man, a great sport, willing and useful for just about any task, and a lot of fun to be around. He helped me a lot when I bought my first house back in 1977. He bought a lovely swing for my front porch and installed it, which I greatly appreciated and used. I enjoyed running into him at park volunteer events and just a couple of years ago at a senior luncheon and always felt better after talking to him. He was a wonderful example of a life well lived and many people will miss him. My condolences to you all.
