Robert Leonard Hiett, age 84, passed away on Friday November 27th, 2020. He was the son of the late Allen Amber Hiett and Leona Matilda Hiett and is preceded in death by his sister Nancy Hiett Abbott. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Helen Howard Hiett and their daughter Angela Hiett and Grandson Josh Dunford “Poppy’s Boy”, four other children Debra Hiett Brosene, Kimberly Hiett Keighley, Robyn Hiett and Bobby Hiett and Grandfather to six other grandchildren. He is also survived by five sister-in-laws, two brother-in-laws and many other nieces and nephews including special care giving niece Judy Crist.
Robert graduated from the Kentucky Military institute in Lyndon Kentucky in 1955 where he attained the rank of 1st Lieutenant. He was a graduate of the Ohio State Patrol in Xenia, Ohio 1958. He furthered his career as an Indian Hill Ranger until appointed Chief of Police in Terrace Park Ohio in 1969. He retired from the United States Marshal’s Office in 1987.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 12 NOON at Craver Riggs Funeral Home and Crematory, 529 Main St., Milford, OH 45150, where family and friends will be received from 10 AM until the hour of service.
