Robert “Bob” Gloeckler, SGM

White Oak – Robert “Bob” Gloeckler, SGM. Beloved husband of Janet Gloeckler (née Niehaus). Caring father of Cindy Knott, Jenny (Scott) Vance, and Lisa McLaughlin. Cherished grandfather of Robert (Karman), Jessica (Josh), Christina, Megan, Nick, and Rachel. Loving great-grandfather of Jaxston, Della, and Lux. Dear brother of Karen (Bill) Engle. Bob passed away on March 15, 2022, at the age of 86 years. US Army Veteran (SGM) with 37 years of service. Member of Monfort Heights United Methodist Church. Longtime member of the Boy Scouts of America Troop 98  (where he was a Scout Leader, advancement chairman, church liason, chartered organizational representative, and made Christmas Wreaths for the Boy Scouts to sell). Loved to garden (he had a vegetable garden at home and, along with Janet, helped maintain their church’s gardens). The generosity of his Gloeckler family was formed deep in Bob’s heart and will continue on by his example of concern and care for others. An intelligent man with amazing experiences to share; Bob truly enjoyed engaging conversations with anyone with a little time on their hands! His contagious smile was larger than life and warmed the hearts of those around him.
