Very sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. He was a true brother. Many memories from Hamilton Taft, the US Male days, and will never forget the New Year’s Eve party in 1970.
My condolences to all the family.

Michelle, My condolences to you and the family. I only knew Mike as he was my courier (for Mercy) at St. Raphael and as a musician. We had our little 5-10 minute talks when he came by the office. I’m glad I got to come to see him play with his band and to meet and dance with you. He was a great guy. I’m so sorry for your loss.

I only had the pleasure of having Mike as my beloved “bonus dad” for 6 years, but his impact on our family in such a short time was astronomical. He and I bonded over our love of books (especially anything by Dean Koontz), the TV series “Supernatural” (whiched ended while he was hospitalized, so I’m really disappointed that we won’t get to have that great discussion over what I thought was a crappy ending), Scotty P’s Big Mug coffee, and food…he was so much fun to go out to eat (or drink 😉 with because he was so passionate about life and its good things. He was also adamant that I felt loved as his own daughter, and boy, was he great at that. He spoiled the heck out of me every chance he could, and that continued when his granddaughter, Grace, was born…starting with being present for the entire 3-day induction process. I will love and miss my incredible bonus dad forever, but am sure that he will check in on us when he isn’t keeping tabs on the rest of the family. Love you so much, Mike!

Michelle, Dale, David, Sandy and whomever else I may be forgetting……. Please accept my deep and heartfelt condolences on Mike’s passing…….My brother Bill texted me on Sunday night of this terrible news…As you know (Dale, David and Sandy), growing up together, Mike and I were very close and really good friends both as teammates on the little league Champion Senators, then as opponents in Champion Babe Ruth, Giants (me) and Yankees, Mike. He was a hell of a good pitcher; sometimes I hit him well, but for the most part, he got me out more often than not. 🙂 I remember spending the night at your house a few times during that time, interacting and enjoying with Mike and the family, (Dale, Bill, Davey, Sandy, and of course Mom/Ruth and Dad/Howard). We lost touch over the years, but still managed at times to contact each other. My brother Rick, Bill, and Danny Brunner kept me informed about some things over the years. I know they are also mourning now. Michelle, from what I understand, you were his shining light and am very happy that he found happiness with you. As for his kids/grandkids, I’m sure you know just how wonderful he was. He was a GOOD man and will definitely be missed…..Again, please accept my sincerest and heartfelt condolences, and may God Bless and Comfort you all, as well as his friends; past and present. Oh, one more thing, a happy memory…..we tried to start a band as teenagers; didn’t pan out very well at the time. 🙂 I used to tease him that he couldn’t “hold a tune”, but as you all know, he definitely could. 🙂 Take care and continue to be safe!

A wonderful brother – friend – and fellow musician. Mike always encouraged me and those around him to be the best they could be all the time. He loved his family and he really loved music. He and I were able to share our love of music together, for the last time, at an outdoor gospel program about 6 weeks prior to his passing. That was the last time I spoke to Mike, so I am grateful to God for allowing us the time to share together a special bond he and I had playing music. He will be missed by so many people. Thank you brother for, well, being you. I will see you again one day. God Bless!!
