My heart is so heavy hearing that she past. She was the kindest and such a caring person with a heart of gold. Her humor was contagious and her laugh could instantly change my mood. So many would be hesitate to speak to her in fear she might be mean because of her deep voice but quickly knew her intentions were always pure of heart. I worked with Martha for many years at Williamsburg, we were like family during that time… a lot was going on at the time professional there and personally between everyone… We depended a lot on each other and she never waivered from lending an ear or her hand for anyone. I still use a saying today that she would say all the time when she would get frazzled ” I’m just going to go into the bathroom and light myself on fire”: it has always made me think of her and has made me felt better. She loved her niece and nephew unconditionally and spoke of them all the time. Tony made her better, if that was even possible. He was truly her other half and my heart just breaks for him right now. Much love to you my kind beautiful friend, may you rest easy…
