Dolly Pitman (nee Wood) Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Leonard “Lefty” Pitman for 65 years. Dolly was born on April 15, 1932, the daughter of Lawrence and Lulu (Woodward) Wood. Dear mother of Mark Pitman, J. Michael (Mary) Pitman and Lori L. (Joe) Kleiman. Loving grandmother of Lindsey Parks, Colton Pitman, Paige Pitman Conway (Brandon), Chase Pitman, Connor Pitman, Michael and Samuel Osterwisch; six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Devoted sister of the late Virginia Linville, Eleanor Hasselbach, Arthur Wood, Lawrence Wood, Mary Lou Wright and Shirley Fultz. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dolly was born and raised in Middletown, OH and moved to Cincinnati, graduating from The Christ Hospital School of Nursing and the University of Cincinnati. As an RN, she enjoyed nursing. In addition to working in hospitals, she was director of nursing for the Hamilton County Health Department for 10 years. She then went on to become director of nursing for Southwest Ohio Department of Health. She retired in 1994. She loved entertaining, gardening, cooking and holiday baking. She was involved in all activities that involved her children and grandchildren. Dolly loved people and had many friends and had a special bond with her fellow nursing school classmates, enjoying their monthly bridge club nights for over 60 years. Dolly passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021 at the age of 89 years.

Visitation will be held at Neidhard Young Funeral Home, 7401 Hamilton Avenue, Mt. Healthy, Saturday, July 31 from 9 AM until time of funeral service at 11 AM.
