Arthur Provenzano
Provenzano, Arthur “Art” passed away in his home on Sunday, July 7, 2019, Age 86. Son of Carmine and L’Zel Provenzano.
Preceded in death by parents; four brothers and two sisters. Survived by beloved wife of 56 years Janet Provenzano; sons, Todd (Paula) and Brian (Kelly) Provenzano. Arthur will be loved and cherished by a host of family and friends.
As a veteran of the Korean War, Art served as a motor pool sergeant, driving and maintaining ammunition trucks for the Army. When his service was completed, he used his mechanical skills for the B&O Railroad for 42 years, servicing and maintaining diesel locomotives here in Cincinnati. He was also a member of the McMackin Masonic Lodge for more than 60 years, enjoying fellowship and giving back to the community.
After his retirement from the railroad in 1994, Art went on to work at a local florist for the next fourteen years, stating “It was the best job he ever had.”
Later in life, Art enjoyed full retirement; making ample time to travel with family, golf and play cards with friends, and fish with his sons.
Friends may call from 9:30 am until Masonic Services at 10:45 am followed by Funeral Services at 11 am on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at The Arlington Memorial Gardens Lakeside Mausoleum Chapel, 2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
