Lauren Christakos

Lauren Christakos

Lauren began working as an Arlington Family Care Advisor in the winter of 2018. A native of Cincinnati’s west side, Lauren has always had a passion for helping others in need. As a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish, she volunteered for the Cincinnati Public School system as a translator for non-English speaking students. After battling an illness for several years which kept her very limited in physical activity, Lauren found a passion for yoga and spent five weeks in Los Angeles gaining her yoga certification in 2013.  She wanted to share yoga and its benefits with those, like her, who needed it the most.  Lauren owned a small pet sitting business while teaching yoga full time. She spent a year as the “Chaos Coordinator” to a former athlete and TV personality and worked as a personal assistant to a family of six. She believes that these valuable experiences encompassed all the skills she needed to thrive at The Arlington Memorial Gardens as a Family Care Advisor.

After experiencing several deaths amongst family and friends, Lauren realized the important role of a caring individual during a family’s time of need.  While she enjoyed every previous job, she did not feel like she was doing her life’s work.  As a member of the Arlington Team, Lauren knows she has found her purpose in serving others.

When not at Arlington, Lauren enjoys teaching yoga at Modo Yoga, stand up paddle boarding and spending time with her dogs,  Teddy and Zach.
