Wesley “Wes” Edward Brown
December 16, 1938 – March 9, 2020
Wesley “Wes” Edward Brown, age 81, of Whitewater Township, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020. He was born in Wallace, Idaho on December 16, 1938 to the late Edward and Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Horne) Brown. Wes married Patricia “Pat” Baker on January 21, 1961 and they were blessed with four children: Scott, Dean (deceased), Lance, and Andrea. He served in the US Air National Guard from 1962-1968. Wes worked as an electrician for P & G for 25 years retiring in 1995. He enjoyed being the family photographer (especially at Christmas.) Wes was a member of the Miami Whitewater United Methodist Church and was very active in the choir and outreach. He led by example and was a faithful servant of Christ. He had a talent of being able to build anything and fix anything, which he did on many occasions for church, family and friends. Wes was in the long process of putting together a kit car of an Austin Healey 3000. The time he spent with his children and grandchildren doing this was special to everyone. Wes was a supportive and loving husband, father and grandfather and passed down many special traits and memories.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 59 years Patricia “Pat” Brown; dear children: Scott (Bonnie Turnbull), Lance (Cindy) and Andrea Brown; beloved grandchildren: Jessie, Parker, Mitchell, and twins Molly and Jenna. Wes is also survived by his brother: Russell (Doris) Brown of Minnesota, brother-in-law: Lawrence (Lynn) Baker of Texas and nieces and nephews.
Wes was preceeded in death by his parents: Edward and Elizabeth “Betty” Brown and an infant son Dean Brown.
Visitation will be Monday, March 16, 2020 from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 12 Noon at Miami Whitewater United Methodist Church. Justin Fuhrmann to officiate. Burial will be at Arlington Memorial Gardens at 3 PM. Family and friends will meet at the main entrance and process to the grave.
Wes was always doing for others and the family would like memorials to be made to Christ’s Loving Hands or the Church in his memory.
