Shirley Day, age 74 passed away on October 2, 2021.

Shirley was born on January 27, 1947, in Kentucky to Earl and Dolly Flannery.

Shirley is survived by her children; Charles (Annette) Flannery, Valerie Flannery, and Shane Day. Sister, Deborah Mangus. Grandchildren; Heather and Charlie, Cierra Burgan, and Jesse Coffey. Great Grandchildren; McKenzie, Mariah, and Malerie also survived by niece Maranda Mangus, and many other nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Dolly Flannery. Son Michael Day, brothers; Harold Jr. Flannery, Kenneth Flannery, Ronnie Flannery, Ricky Madden, and nephew Larry Dennis Mangus.

In Shirley’s younger years she enjoyed dancing, music and singing in church. Shirley loved going to service, when she was able you could find her at the church, “when the church house was open, Shirley was there.” While Shirley was in the nursing home, she enjoyed playing Bingo and other games, she especially enjoyed when her great grandchildren would visit and play with her.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at The Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. (Follow the blue line)

Services for Shirley Day will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 11:00 AM at The Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens.

    Aunt Shirley was a very kind ,warm person, she was very important to all of us while growing up and yes , will not forget church in a good way, miss it! Sad day for all of us ….you are forever loved and will not be forgotten ……rest in peace! Prayers sent!
