Samuel Peterson
Samuel Peterson, age 79, passed away on January 23, 2022.
Samuel was born on September 19, 1942, in Cincinnati Ohio.
Preceded in death by his parents Pando and Menca (nee Gurchava) Peterson and brother Mitchel (Sharon) Peterson.
Loving husband of Donna Peterson (nee Sparks) and loving father of Melinda Fuerst. Stepfather to Jenni De Noma, Juli (David) Thompson and Doug (Kathy) Boehm. Grandfather to Roman Tasseff and Rachel Fuerst. Step grandfather to Justin (Sarah) De Noma, Jordan and Jessi De Noma, Lucinda and Josiah Thompson, Ava, and Paige Boehm. Step Great Grandfather to Denver De Noma. Brother to Katherine Rehn. Also survived by his former spouse Glenna Peterson, sister-in-law Gail Suiter and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Samuel graduated from Western Hills High School in 1960. After graduating high school, he went on to serve his country in The Army National Guard. Following his service to his country, he went on to become a Cincinnati Firefighter where he was a pumper engineer for 29 years. Sam was loved and respected by all in the department and those he served in his community. Sam also made many lifelong friends through his motorcycle riding, which he greatly enjoyed.
The family would like to thank the exceptional staff at Good Samaritan Hospital 15AB for their loving care.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday January 29, 2022, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM with a lite lunch to follow. Visitation, service and lunch at Evangelical Community Church, 2191 Struble Road Cincinnati OH, 45231.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Cincinnati Firefighters Museum at 315 W. Court Street, 45202.
