Pauline Harris-Ellis
Pauline Harris-Ellis, age 73, passed on Saturday, October 16, 2021.
Pauline was born on February 26, 1948, in Salem, Massachusetts to Paul and Geraldine Papalardo. Pauline married Danforth Bradford Ellis Jr. on October 11, 1969, at St. Mary’s Italian church in Salem, Massachusetts, followed by a beautiful reception at the historic Hawthorne Hotel.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Karen Jean, her sisters Edith and Jean, and her parents Paul and Geraldine. Along with other family members that were dear to her heart.
She is survived by her husband Danforth, daughter Melanie, grandsons Emerson and Noah. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and many other family members that she loved dearly. Pauline loved her family with all her heart.
Pauline enjoyed bowling, she bowled on a team with her daughter Karen and on a team with her husband Dan. She also loved to play bingo; she would often go multiple times a week. She only stopped these activities when her health declined, and she could no longer commit.
Pauline was a very active mother. She was involved with many of her daughter’s childhood activities. When her daughters were young, she held leadership positions in their girl scout troops along with many other activities they were involved in.
Pauline enjoyed puzzles and painting ceramics. She loved to paint ceramics and give them as gifts. She additionally loved to knit; she would often knit blankets to give as gifts for special occasions.
She also loved to bake, her family always looked forward to the fudge and Italian cookies she would bake every holiday season.
Pauline was an avid baseball fan, she loved her home team, The Boston Red Sox. She looked forward to every baseball season and she loved The Red Sox whether they won or lost.
Visitation will be held October 21, 2021, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at The Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. (Follow the blue line to the funeral home). Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 2:00pm and the burial will proceed the services at 3:00pm.
