Long, Michael David age 77, passed away on February 19, 2020.

Michael was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Charles and Dorothy Long. Michael was married to Gale Long for 53 years. He was preceded in death by parents; nephew, David Long

Michael is survived by wife, Gale Long; children, Michelle (John) Tromblay, Nicole Long, Steven (Margaret) Long and Andrew (Brianne) Long; grandchildren, Gabrielle Long, Olivia Long, Claire Long, Kirsten Tromblay, Lillian Long, Austin Spears, Chance Spears and Seth Spears; sister, Phyllis Kaiser. Michael will be loved and cherished by a host of family and friends.

As a young man, Michael enlisted in the Army and served his country in Korea, after the cease fire. Upon returning home, he fell in love, got married and started a family. He frequently worked weekends and evenings to support that family, who always came first. A man of few words but deep affections, Michael loved his hometown sports teams, which frequently disappointed him and his grandchildren, who never did. Husband, brother, father, grandfather, he was different things to different people ,all of whom will miss him terribly.

Friends may gather with Family on Thursday February 27, 2020 at 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM when memorial services will begin, at Arlington Memorial Gardens Lakeside Chapel, 2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231.

A Reception will follow at Matt the Miller’s Tavern, 5901 East Galbraith Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45236.  (All are Welcome)

    So sorry for your loss…I remember Michael as a kind, thoughtful man with a kind heart who really loved his family! May he rest in peace in God’s hands. Wishing peace and the joy of wonderful memories to Gail and family.
