Kari Weist Acton - Arlington Memorial Gardens

Kari Weist Acton

Kari Weist Acton (56) of Loveland, OH passed away unexpectedly on March 9, 2021, and graciously donated the gift of life, on the 11th of March.

Kari was a dedicated educator for many years with the Princeton School District. She loved the water, living on the Little Miami River, spending much time at Lake Santee, and watching countless sunsets on the beaches of Kauai.

She is survived by her loving husband Jim and her beloved son Bradley. She also leaves behind her parents Robert and Sally Weist, father-in-law James W. Acton, her sister Sandra Weist-Ramer, her brother Robert (Kim) Weist II, sister-in-laws, Jennifer Jones and Lisa (Larry) McClain-Jarrett and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A private family service will be held at Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, on Thursday, March 18, 2021, and will be live streamed at www.AMGFuneralHome.com, with a Celebration of Life to follow at the Pebble Creek Event Center, 9799 Prechtel Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45252, from 4PM until 7PM. Please come in your Hawaiian gear as a celebration of Kari’s love for Hawaii.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be directed to the Ronald McDonald House of Greater Cincinnati, 341 Erkenbrecher Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45229 or online at rmhcincinnati.org. Toys for Tots was also a huge part of Kari’s generous spirit, to honor her untethered love of children, we are collecting toys at the Celebration of Life event. Jim and Brad, I don’t even know where or how to begin. I’m so sorry and wish there was a way I could take the pain away.
Kari you’re my best friend and the sister I never had. We had no secrets, never lied to each other, were always brutally honest and full of respect. I will miss our texts that turned into phone calls as neither of us could type well enough and would get frustrated enough to then call, the vacations, your calming voice of reason no matter the situation (way to many to list), morning coffees before everyone else was awake, your sound advice to the girls, and for some crazy reason your ‘hey there’.
Thank you for having such an impact on all our lives and making it rich with love and friendship. Have a great journey up there, and don’t worry I will honor my promise to you. Till we see each other again I’ll miss it all…I love you

Mary and I send our love, thoughts and prayers to all. We too were shocked and saddened. Our biggest hugs that we wish we could give today to Bob and Sally, Kim and Bobby and the entire Weist Family. We will remember and honor her and cherish our time with her.

My deepest condolences to the Acton and Weist family . I have such fond memories of Keri . Her zest for life , love for family and friends and her ability to keep perspective when things didn’t go as planned are just a few characteristics that stand out to me most . She was always supportive of her family and friends with a willingness to do what ever it took . Her laughter when the dogs ran soaking wet into the lake house or her calmness when the house burned down , she never waivered or fretted over the little things . I will miss her friendship and will cherish all my memories of her . My thoughts and prayers are with you all and my support will never waiver . Her spirit lives on in each of us that knew her .
