Grace Marian Bredenfoerder (nee Wilson) age 100 from Cincinnati OH died peacefully at the Lodge Nursing Home, Loveland, Ohio where she had been a resident since 2013. She was the wife of the late Clarence W. Bredenfoerder, beloved mother of Carol (Robert) Coy, Joan (Sam) Bauer, Nancy (Bruce) Beiser, Debbie (Larry) Krantz, and Connie (Paul) Kroos, dear grandmother of Bob (Dinah) Coy, David Coy, Jeff (Erin) Coy, Diane (Joe) Gutierrez, Eileen (John) Oehler, Steve Shotwell, Mike (Tonya) Beiser, Heather (Jason) Probala, Bryan (Kris) Krantz, Holly (Mitch) Galvin, Amir (Melissa) Ariapad, BiJan (Sandra) Ariapad, Tony Ariapad, also survived by 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Grace was born September 18, 1918 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the daughter of Herman F. Wilson and Clara (Kincaid) Wilson. She attended Cheviot Elementary School and graduated from Western Hills High School in 1937. She married Clarence, the love of her life in 1939 and remained together for 49 years until the time of his death. They lived most of their lives on Hader Ave. in Cheviot raising their 5 daughters.
Grace embraced her role as mother and grandmother, homemaker and spiritual leader of the family. She enjoyed taking care of her dogs, cooking, sewing, crocheting, playing cards, watching the Cincinnati Reds and drinking her coffee. She took many trips but her favorite vacation by far was winning a trip to Hawaii in 1960. She made her home a beautiful and loving place to live. She always had a hot meal on the table and a dog by her side. She celebrated birthdays and holidays always taking pride serving a delicious meal and setting a beautiful table. She “Grace-fully” passed those same skills on to her daughters. Grace knew that one of life’s greatest joys represented personal sacrifices and many challenges. Her family absolutely enjoyed her. She was a joyful and kind spirit, with a sense of humor and always managed to find humor in most situations.
She was an inspiration and friend to all. Above all, Grace loved her family very much.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Westwood where she served as secretary of the “55” Plus Club helping to make books for the blind. At the time of her death she was the oldest living member.
