Georgia Luttrell
Georgia Luttrell, age 64, went to join her parents and brothers in the arms of the Lord on August 15, 2021.
Georgia was the most amazing Nana, mom, sister, aunt, and friend. Georgia fought an impossible battle with metastatic lung cancer, but never stopped taking care of others. When she wasn’t helping others, you might find her curled up with a good book, quilting or sewing, or studying her bible. But her favorite job was being “Nana” to so many when she wasn’t being a nurse to the rest of us.
From the day she was diagnosed just 9 months ago, she was at peace with her legacy she was leaving behind. You would hear her say having cancer was still a win/win for her. She would continue to enjoy every day God gave her with family as a win, and when she was called home to heaven that too was a win because her faith was strong in the Lord. Often times, her family would struggle keeping the faith while Nana would be there comforting them over her illness. Georgia worked her whole life at the service of others. From waitressing while in nursing school, then nursing through long shifts at the VA hospital, to being a “retired” Nana to her beloved grandson Braden and great-niece Nevaeh, along with her many Sunday School children with her Fowler Creek church family.
Georgia was born in April 1957 in Liberty, Kentucky to George and Essie Luttrell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Donald and Andy Luttrell.
Georgia is survived by her son Brad (Karen) Miller and Grandson Braden Miller. Sister-in-law Dena Luttrell, Nephew Jarod (April) Luttrell. Great nieces and nephews; Mckennah, Micah, Jasiah, and Nevaeh and many cousins near and far. Georgia also leaves behind her loving pet cats; Hoss, Grey, and Peanut Butter, and her beloved grand-dog Gizmo.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at The Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. (Follow the blue line to the funeral home)
Services for Georgia Luttrell will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at 12:00 PM at The Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Pastor Don Howard officiating. Burial will follow onsite at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Springfield Township, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on behalf of Georgia Luttrell to your local SPCA.
