Cincinnati — Evelyn M. Zeisler, age 98, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 11, 2020. A life long resident of Cincinnati and beloved by so many for her gentle spirit, grand wisdom and unconditional love and care for her family. Proceeded in death by her loving husband, Charles Zeisler, daughter Joyce Horton (Gary), sisters; Dolores Noah, Eileen Weller (Albert), nephews Paul Zeisler, Jimmy Davis and granddaughter Terri Horton (Tim). She attended St. Margaret Mary School and started working full time after 8th grade, loving the assembly side of business with companies like Jergen’s and the Ault & Wiborg Carbon and Ribbon Co where she ultimately met her husband Charlie. She and Charlie loved to travel and particularly enjoyed multiple vacations to Hawaii, California and Cape May.

 

A resident of The Christian Village of Mt Healthy, since 2013, Evelyn enjoyed her apt. in independent living and time with fellow residents and in her later years never turned down a game of cards, Esther Price Dark Chocolates, Graeter’s or Gold Star Chili!  She especially cherished time spent with her 5 generations of family. She is survived by grandchildren: Tim Horton (Lori Michel), Robin Colegate (Curt); nieces: Patti Weller Bresler (Michael), Earlene Addy (Flan); nephews: Bill Davis (Jackie), Michael Weller; great grandchildren: Tim Ballman (Amanda), Curtis Colegate, Tia Colegate, Brandon Horton (Christina), Nick Horton, Abbey Hillesheim (Gabe) and 7 great-great grandchildren: Carter, Hudson, Brayden, MaKenzie, Connor, Mason and Charlie.

A Memorial Mass and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati/College Hill Inpatient, 5343 Hamilton Ave 2nd Floor, Cincinnati, OH 45224. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.frederickfh.com.
