Eugene “Gino” Lastoria

Mr. Eugene “Gino” Lastoria, age 93, passed away on May 26, 2021.

Gino was born on August 20, 1927 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Joseph and Elsie (Ruberg) Lastoria. Gino married Stella (Daulton) Lastoria of Hamilton, Ohio on September 8, 1958 in St. Cecilia Church.

Gino is survived by his wife Stella Lastoria, daughter Cindy (Robert) Schatzel.  Grandchildren; Melissa (Stephen), Erik, Victoria (Adam), Rachel (George), and Ethan. Great grandchildren; Olivia, Natalie, Austin Oelze, Carter, Emily, Theodore, and Olivia Rouse. Gino is also survived by his loving dog Molly who will miss him dearly.

Gino was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and son Greg Lastoria.

Gino was a proud WWII Navy Veteran stationed in Shanghai, China. He retired from Brinks as an armored guard after 36 years of service. Gino loved to fish, walk, and manicure his lawn, he was very social and loved a good joke. He loved to joke with his grandchildren and introduce them when they would have talent shows, he would often pretend he didn’t know their name and would make them laugh.  His favorite past time was watching boxing and baseball, he enjoyed playing softball, cornhole and ping-pong.

Private services for Mr. Eugene “Gino” Lastoria will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Arlington Memorial Gardens Lakeside Mausoleum Chapel. Entombment will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Springfield Township, Ohio.
