Earl Roy Wickemeier
It is with great sadness that the family of Earl Roy Wickemeier of Cincinnati, Ohio announces his passing on January 19th, 2022, after a blessed long life of 98 years. Earl will be forever remembered by his children Cheryl, Tom, & Dave; his grandchildren Trisha, Meredith, Matt, Megan, & Scott; and his great-grandchildren Zac, Kyle, Jake, Ben, Jonah, Grey, Isla, & Aiden. Earl was preceded in death by his parents Paul & Hazel Wickemeier; his wife Bea; his first wife, and mother to his children, Arlene Elizabeth Uffman Wickemeier; and his sister Elaine Hessel.
Earl served his country as a member of the United States Air Force Army Corp during World War II. He was stationed in the Pacific Theater during the occupancy of Japan. Earl was an avid golfer, playing the ripe young age of 96. He enjoyed bowling into his 90s and appreciated a good game of cards. He loved to dance and listen to swing music. His favorite place to travel was Hilton Head, where he enjoyed basking in the sun while playing a few rounds of golf or listening to the sound of waves on the shore.
A visitation will be held for Earl at Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home (2155 Compton Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45231; follow the BLUE LINE) on Friday, January 28th, at 1:30pm. A funeral service will begin at 2:00pm, with his burial to follow. (Face masks required)
