Dorothy Knapp, 92, of Milford, formerly of Finneytown, passed away on April 24, 2021, after a brief battle with kidney cancer. Dorothy was born on September 7, 1928 to Glenn and Lillian Boggess in Cincinnati, OH. She graduated from Withrow High School.
After a career in bookkeeping and accounting, she retired after serving as the private assistant to Wallace T. Collett, President and Founder of Servomation. During this period. she reared her three children and began a new life as a retiree, grandmother, and grand-traveler with her late husband Richard Knapp.
Dorothy is survived by her son Dennis Jones (Lavetta), daughters Jennifer Jeffries (Joe), Linda Finnell (Jose’ Pretlow). Nancy Knapp Malangoni (Mark), Doug Knapp (Julie)
Grandchildren: Stephen Jones (Jennifer Borchers), Stephanie Jones Campbell (late Jason), Eric Jones, Lydia Pretlow, Joseph (Lisa) Michael (Wendy) and Jonathan (Marja) Malangoni, Madeline and Jacob Knapp; Great Grandmother to: Kobe and Lincoln Jones, Alyssa Campbell, Jackson, Olivia, Isak and Lucia Malangoni. One great grandchild: Madeline Jones. One brother: William Boggess (Linda). Aunt to Bradley Boggess (Chrissy) and Brandy Wonderling (Legend). Great Aunt to: Webster and William Boggess, Ellie and Anna Wonderling.
Due to COVID, a private family service at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Mount Healthy is scheduled. Neidhard Young Funeral Home in Mount Healthy handling arrangements.
