Cathy Ann Frees
Ms. Cathy Frees, age 69, passed away on January 21, 2022.
Cathy was born in Camp Polk, LA to Philip and Virginia Frees.
Cathy is survived by her daughter Amber (Derrick) Knott, grandchildren Aiden, Deonte, Katlyn, Breanna and Christopher Knott, two siblings Larry and Mark Frees, nieces and nephews Lisa (Anthony Sr.) Montgomery, Brittany, Ryan Frees, Anthony Jr., Kristina, Alexander Montgomery, and Nicole Brewer as well as a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cathy was a licensed cosmetologist in her earlier years, and later became a licensed practical nurse where she worked for many years until she was no longer able. She enjoyed drawing, painting, cooking, and baking. She also enjoyed listening to Fleetwood Mac and Carlos Santana. She was an animal lover. She loved children and was given the name “community mom” always making sure every child ate and was loved. Cathy was a free-spirited person, who would give you the shirt off her back without any hesitation. She will be dearly missed and cherished by all.
Visitation will be held Saturday, 29th of January 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Arlington Memorial Gardens Lakeside Mausoleum Chapel, 2145 Compton Road, 45231 (Follow the red line upon entering the memorial park). Service will immediately follow.
