Barbara “Bobbi” Baker
Barbara “Bobbi” Baker, 65, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 7, 2021 in the comfort of her home in Cheviot, OH.
Bobbi was born in Huntington, WV to James Abbott and Anne Austin Adkins.
Bobbi lived a life dedicated to others as demonstrated by the endless love and support she showed to her family and friends. Throughout her career in nursing she specialized in care for women and infants, and volunteered with local churches and charities. Bobbi was known for her love of reading, gardening, traveling, cooking, and watching her children and grandchildren’s sporting events.
Her kind heart, loyalty, and friendship to others will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Bobbi taught us all to be kind to everyone.
She leaves behind many family members and friends who loved her in return.
Bobbi is survived by her husband, Steven R. Baker of 20 years of marriage. With God’s grace, they found each other late in life to hold forever.
She is survived by her sisters Rebecca Midkiff and Tammy Sawyers and preceded in death by Marti Parnell.
Bobbi is survived by her children: Valdon (Beth), Todd, Timothy (Allison), and Grant (Lyndsey) and bonus-children Sandra (Giles) and Angela (Chris) and grandchildren: Kaylee, Nathan, Shelby, Michael, Grady, Max, Navia, Cheyenne, Cady, Tyler, Braden, Briley, Nolan and Smyth, and her beloved dog Lucy and many extended relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Westwood United Methodist Church, 3460 Epworth Ave, Cincinnati, OH with Pastor Bethanne Crego officiating. Friends may call Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM, which all are welcome to attend. Please enter through the door with the green awning. Masks and social distancing required. For funeral service please enter the parking lot from Urwiler or Montclair Ave.
