Annabelle Florence Whyle June 11, 1931 - April 30, 2021

Annabelle Florence Whyle

Mrs. Annabelle Florence Whyle, age 89, passed away on April 30, 2021, in the comfort of her own home.

Annabelle was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 11, 1931 to Aloysius and Florence Pies. Annabelle was married to the love of her life, James Whyle on August 22, 1953 at St. Margaret Mary, North College Hill, Ohio, and he preceded her in death in 1981. Annabelle was also preceded in death by her parents Aloysius and Florence Pies, siblings; Ralph Pies, Ambrose Pies, Ray Pies, Robert Pies, Paul Pies, Elizabeth Abig, Dorothy Verstege, Thomas Pies, Rosemary Pies, daughter–in-law Julie Whyle, granddaughter Lauren Roll, great-grandson Jonah Baykal and great-granddaughter Ava Whyle.

Ann is survived by her children; Cindy Glueck,  Bonnie (Ronald) Back, David (Vicki) Whyle, Barb Whyle, Wanda (Gregg) Roll, Tim (Christine) Whyle, Betsy (George) Stefut, Jeff (Ann) Whyle and Amy (John) Siefert, grandchildren; Sara  (Toby) Stecher, Randy (Stephanie) Glueck, Shannon Back, Ronald (Emily) Back, Kristopher (Monika) Back, Vanessa Strunk, Jay (Gabi) Whyle, Zachary Whyle, Olivia Roll, Jacob Whyle, Joshua Whyle, Jordan Stefut, Christian Stefut, Laura (Alex) Fusting, Anthony (Elizabeth) Whyle, Sean Whyle, John Siefert, Andrew Siefert, Nick Siefert, Alex Siefert, great-grandchildren; Makenna Follman, Matthew Stecher, Madison Stecher, Alex Glueck, Megan Glueck, Miranda Glueck, Brandon Ottke, Dominic Back, Nathan Back, Mason Back, Jaxon Back, Xavier Fantauzzi, Emma Whyle, Lily Whyle, Piper Whyle, Xander Whyle, Bella Whyle, Bryden Whyle and many extended relatives and friends.

Annabelle’s greatest accomplishment was her faith and her love for her family. There was nothing that brought more happiness to her than gatherings with her large family, something that happened often and something she was very proud of.  She surely instilled strong family values in her children, always making sure they got along and had utmost respect for each other.  She was a spirited, fun, feisty and strong woman that loved to work in her gardens. Her multitudes of gardens overflowed with Hosta’s, ferns, hibiscus, peonies, lilies, begonias, sunflowers, mums and geraniums. Never a day went by that she wasn’t working somewhere in her gardens. Ann also had a talent for crafting which she passed on to her children.  She dawdled in lots of different crafts but truly loved making flower arrangements.  She made flower bouquets for many weddings over the years.

Prior to Jim’s death, Ann helped establish and operate the Whyle’s Sohio Service Station in Woodlawn.  After Jim died, she owned and operated Heaven’s Cupboard at several locations in Hamilton Ohio for 24 years which brought her so much joy and pride.

In the most recent years Ann had two non-family care givers – sisters Betsy Wolf and Kathy Hasson.  Betsy was with her the day before she passed.  Betsy and Kathy had relatives that Ann grew up with and they spent much time talking about the good old days.  Ann was very fond of both Betsy and Kathy.
