Anna Marie Bodenstein, nee Sander, born March 21, 1927 to Peter and Susie Sander (d) died Tuesday September 14, 2021 at Western Hills Nursing and Rehab. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Bodenstein, son Floyd (Ranae) Zorens, brother John Sander, sister Mary Smith, son in law Otis Hibbard. Survived by son John Bodenstein, Susan (Ray) Powers, Mary (Terrence) Anderson, Barbara Hibbard, 11 grandchildren 32 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, her sister Alice (Jim) Chewning (Texas) and several nieces and nephews.

Anna had been a member of Martini United Church of Christ, which was located in South Fairmount, until it closed, for well over 75-80 years. Anna started attending her church when she was only 8 years old. She was married in the church along with two of her children. All of her children were baptized in the church. She helped organize and attended (along with her family) church events faithfully. She was active in the Summer Vacation Bible School and was a Sunday school teacher in her church. Anna was also active in Senior events in South Fairmount, and loved her ceramics! She made many, many ceramic items for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 11:00 AM-12:00 PM, Service from 12:00 PM-1:00 PM on Friday September 24, 2021, at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens. (Follow the blue line to the funeral home)
