Ruth was like a mom to all Finneytowners. Certainly to the grades her sons were in. She was always ready to be supportive, cheer on a team, go to a reunion. A bright light is gone. She will be missed by so many.

    Dear Terry and Jerry,
Your mother was like a “ room mother” to all Finneytowners. She was always accessible. She was full of love and full of life. You are fortunate to have had such a special mom! We’ll all miss her, too!😘

Denny and I have known Ruth since our high school years when we were friends with her son Terry. She was always there at the football and basketball games. She attended most of our Reunions and especially the one we had 2 years ago when she was 95 — she didn’t look or act her age. She was so active and so upbeat. She will truly be missed but her memories will last forever. Love you Ruth and we will always remember you!!

Everyone loved “Mrs. Cat”, and she will be missed. All of us Finneytown grads have fond memories of her in the stands as her sons performed. Leading cheers, always happy, and wearing one of the most endearing smiles I ever witnessed. All of us who knew her are blessed to have done so. No one loved, nor was more proud of, her family. I know her life celebration will be as positive as she always was. 97 years well spent.
